Model Train Exhibit at the Hayes Center
A great family-friendly event is happening right now at the Hayes Presidential Library and Museums!
The "Hayes Train Special" is open now until January 7th. This exhibit features 3 tiers of model trains with interactive features sure to excite kids, train-lovers, and everyone in between.
This was a lot of fun for our whole family!
This 12x24 ft. set includes tunnels, and bridges, and a Victorian village filled with figurines and scenery! One of our favorite pieces is the graceful ice-skaters on the rink! When you go, look for the snowman, carousel, carriage, train depot, museum, and Christmas countdown!
There are so many miniature snowy scenes carefully placed along the tracks. What a fun way to bring in the holiday spirit!
Admission is $2 or included in the cost of museum admission and memberships. Total time spent at the exhibit with our family was about 30 minutes. You could probably spend a larger amount of time here though.

While you are visiting, you may also want to view the Ice Exhibit, main museum, and tour the historical Hayes house! Don’t forget to stop for any last minute shopping at the gift shop on the way out!
The next Hayes Center event you won't want to miss lasts from December 26-31. The horse-drawn sleigh rides are truly magical as history seems to come alive!
