Fishing FAQ's

QUESTION:
Is there good fishing in the Sandusky River?

ANSWER:
Absolutely!  The Sandusky River is well known for the Spring Runs of Walleye and White Bass. The annual Walleye run usually starts in March and runs through Mid-April followed immediately by the run of White Bass. Fishermen line the banks of the river between the

two bridges in downtown Fremont. Some fishermen prefer to wade into the river to test

their skills. The law requires the fish be caught on the hook - no snagging allowed -

no treble hooks allowed. Fishing is allowed from sunrise to sunset.
